PYDANCE, a contemporary dance company based in Nashville, spent much of 2024 developing a new work titled God's Country, inspired by the music of the band Chat Pile and taking its name from their debut album. I had the opportunity to cover the piece's development, from the initial rehearsals in the studio, through the full-length premiere.
